She began her library career shelving books and filing cards in the card catalog at the Goodyear Branch in Akron when she was 15 years old. Her work in libraries continued through high school and college, checking out books at the Circulation Desk and answering questions in the Reference Department. Julianne spent a decade in Children's and Outreach Services, which allowed her to meet many wonderful people at area hospitals, schools, and senior centers. Some days she still misses driving a Bookmobile to neighborhoods and special events. Before joining the staff at MCDL as the Assistant Director in 2018, she was the Director at Barberton Public Library. Julianne lives in Spencer with her husband, Mike, and is looking forward to this new chapter in her library story. MCDL Announces New Director
