Library Closing FAQ

Will there be any access to library materials like holds?

Currently MCDL is completely closed. Most other libraries in the state are closed as well. Deliveries are suspended. As the pandemic subsides and library business resumes MCDL will update our webpage and social media (links at the bottom of every page on our web site) with any changes to our current situation.

What happens if I place a hold in the catalog while you're closed?

Everything is frozen/paused until we reopen. No physical holds will be filled. Holds on OverDrive eMedia items will be processed as normal.

I have a block on my card. How can I access the digital collection?

All library card accounts, even those blocked by fees and fines and those in collections, are temporarily opened to access eMedia and online learning and databases. These cards will return to their former status when the pandemic eases and libraries reopen.

What about loans we have from other Clevnet libraries?

All due dates have been extended 3 weeks.

I can't access my Hoopla, OverDrive or other eMedia account, is there any assistance?

Use our Contact Us form enter your question, name and card number and we will evaluate your account and respond.
